About Us

Welcome to our practice where we value South African multicultural social diversity and promote community mental health in various contexts. Current pressures and overtaxed lifestyles are overwhelming and challenge our mental health resources. When it becomes hard to function without help, a safe supportive space is available to explore ways to improve mental health and psychosocial wellbeing, decrease anxiety, manage stress, improve general health and deliver quality of life.

Here you will find inspiration, food for thought and new ideas how to uncover your potential, discover yourself, expand your knowledge and consciousness and become the person you have always wanted to be. Our team of counsellors are insightful, sensitive and competent first line professional psychologists. The primary purpose of counselling is to create trusting relationships in a safe environment where the client is assured of a non-judgemental ear and unconditional positive regard. The counsellor’s role is to make important contributions in the delivery of psychological and preventative intervention services with a strong focus on supporting to previously disadvantaged communities. The goal is to aid clients in developing the psychological tools needed to deal with complicated feelings and situations.

I am a member of a National Counselling Network of psychologists who counsel countrywide both in-house and use internet-based communication via Zoom to counsel clients who are unable to attend face-to-face sessions at the practices.

Counselling is based on eclectic views of humankind employing Positive Psychology, Mindfulness and short-term Solution Focused therapeutic techniques among others to target thought-provoking content. This allows for finding the right approach and technique to fit the client and situation.

Individual and Group Counselling sessions are available to Adults, Adolescents, Children and the Elderly.

Among the advantages of attending a counselling session at this practice is that the medical aid rates offered by professionals are affordable, and in some instances, charges are negotiable and raised on a sliding scale.
